Offa Robbery: Police Make U-turn, Say Saraki No Longer Invited
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has earlier in the day asked his aide to get the letter of invitation from the police to enable him honour their invitation.
This was his second move to clear his name from the story that he was indicted by Offa banks' robbers.
His first move was to deny the allegation in a statement on Sunday.
However, things have gotten a little more interesting with the police suddenly making a u-turn from their earlier position inviting the Senate President.
Now they just want him to respond in writing to the confessional statement of the robbery suspects.
It looks like the police just realized they need to show some respect to Nigeria’s number three citizen.
This is coming just a day after it was reported that the police had invited Senator Saraki over claims by the robbers that they were his political thugs.
How the suspects metamorphosed from political thugs to bank robbers is what Nigerians are waiting to hear.
