'Obiano Wants To Kill Me', Says Anambra PDP chairman
Someone please call 911!
This seems to be the message the Chairman of the People's Democratic Party in Anambra state, Ken Emeakayi is sending out.
Emeakayi has alleged that Governor Willie Obiano is after his life because he called for his impeachment over constitutional breaches.
"The governor threatened to kill me during a telephone conversation with him.
“The climax was when in a telephone conversation on Thursday, February 23, 2017, the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, directly by himself, threatened to kill me.
“In a telephone conversation at about 8pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017, the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano, personally, and by himself, threatened to kill me if I fail to stop questioning the unlawful activities of his administration.
“…Anyway, I have reported the matter to the police,” he alleged.
The state government is yet to respond to these allegations but there has been heightening political unrest in the state ahead of the governorship election.
Mr. Obiano of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, who has been celebrated for his community development projects, is seeking a second term.
