Nigerian striker, Obafemi Martins was in the right element for his Chinese club as he was on target in Shanghai Shenhua’s 3-0 win against Shandong Luneng in the third round of the Copa China match played on Tuesday.

The big spending Shenhua took the lead in the 23rd minute when former Inter Milan midfielder, Fredy Guarin powered in his effort past the goalkeeper. 

Martins who had enjoyed toying with the opposition defenders all day grabbed his goal in the 33rd minute before Mao Jianqing wrapped it up late in the second half to make it 3-0. 

Courtesy of the 3-0 win, Shanghai Shenhua became the first team to qualify for the fourth round of the Copa China.
