Angels will literally be at war on Wednesday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt as Rivers Angels take on Ibom Angels Football Club of Uyo in one of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Match Day 10 fixtures.

Though Rivers Angels skipper, Charity John is confident she and her teammates will get the job done, she has admitted that she expects a good game from their visitors.

Coach Edwin Okon will be leading his wards to face his former assistant coach, Ogbonda Whyte who left the Jewel of Rivers at the start of the 2015/2016 NWFL season after seven years with the team.

According to Angels skipper, Whyte knows the team too well but assured fans that they’d be approaching Wednesday’s game with different tactics.

“He knows us very well as he is our former coach,” Charity told Rivers Angels media.

“Whyte knows what we’re capable of doing and I know he will be telling his girls how to mark us.

“But we will play with a different formation, one he hasn’t seen us play with before,” the skipper added.

In the reverse fixture, Ibom Angels forward, Charity Reuben had to score from the spot in added time to force the league champions to a 1-1 draw.

Speaking further, John is confident the Jewel of Rivers will get all maximum points in this midweek fixture.

“We were in front when we went away to them and they had to come from behind to earn a draw.

“Come Wednesday, we are getting nothing short of victory. I believe we can beat them here in Port-Harcourt," she added.

Rivers Angels top group A with 15 points while Ibom Angels are 5th with 8 points.
