Lobi Stars striker, Anthony Okpotu has emerged the top scorer of the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Okpotu scored 19 goals, one more than MFM’s Stephen Odey.

Both players were tied on 18 goals going into the final game of the season. Okpotu scored in Lobi’s final game against FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday to beat Odey to the prize.

Odey did not feature in MFM’S clash against El Kanemi following his move to Swiss club FC Zurich.
