Plateau United manager Kennedy Boboye has opted for an early release of his starting line-up to face Enugu Rangers on Saturday.

Boboye sprung some surprises; dropping some big-name players to the bench for the final day of the 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The coach took the bold decision of naming the impressive duo of Igho James and Ogene Elijah in the starting lineup for the Peace Boys in the match at the Rwang Pam Stadium.

Among the top players left on the bench are Golbe Elisha, Salomon Junior and Benjamin Turba as the Jos side seek to win the league title for the first time in history.

The depth in the squad shows heavy firepower, as the benching of Hamzat Owolabi and Joshua Obaje shows that the attack can be as lethal too.

Just behind strikers, Kabiru Umar and Emeka Umeh will be the reliable offensive midfielder Lazarus Fan.

Sunday Ngbede will operate from the right wing while Peter Eneji operates from the left.

Wash Bitrus will start from central midfield, protecting the centre-backs of Jimmy Ambrose and Ogene with Igho playing from the right of the defence while Daniel Itodo plays from the left.

Former youth international Dele Ajiboye starts in goal for the team in the game scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m. local time.

Starting line-up: Dele Ajiboye, Igho James, Itodo Daniel, Wash Bitrus, Ogene Elijah, Jimmy Ambrose, Fan Lazarus, Peter Eneji, Sunday Ngbede, Emeka Umeh, Kabiru Umar

Subs: John Gaadi, Golbe Elisha, Salomon Junior, Turba Benjamin, Hamzat Owolabi, Joshua Obaje, Bature Yaro
