NPFL: Rangers Coach Rues Wasted Chances Against Pillars
Enugu Rangers coach, Gbenga Ogunbote is livid that his team blew away several chances that came their way in Sunday's NPFL star match against Kano Pillars.
At the end, the spoils were shared in the Match Day 10 duel played at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium which ended in a one-all draw.
Ogunbote, said his side got the reward for wastefulness; picking just one point instead of all three.
"I think we were wasteful in the game. You can count the number of chances we created that we did not make use of.
"The result is the prize for wastefulness. Yes, we drew at home and lost two points and there is nothing stopping us from going away to make some good points", he said.
On his part, the Kano Pillars coach said they are actually came for a win in Enugu but nonetheless, they are happy with a point earned.
"We came here to win for our late defender, Chinedu Udoji but I am happy with the result.
"Our being able to read perfectly the flow of the game helped us get this result as we continue to challenge for top prizes at the end of the season."
While Pillars are now top of the log with 17 points from 10 games, Rangers have 14 points from nine matches and will be trading tackles next with Plateau United F.C in Jos on Wednesday.
