MFM FC are increasingly looking like real title contenders in the NPFL as they are now just two points adrift of league leaders, Plateau United.

Stephen Odey with his 17th goal this season helped MFM FC to a 1-0 win over Wikki Tourists FC on Sunday and the Olukoya Boys are pressing on in 'Leicester Style' as they hope to leave their mark in history.

The team has dedicated their latest win to the General Overseer of the church, Daniel Olukoya and his wife Shade who became year older over the weekend.

Leader of the team, Emmanuel Adeyemi says they are grateful to the Olukoyas for giving them a platform to shine.

He said: “We want to thank God for the victory against Wikki Tourists. It was a difficult game because they Wikki are struggling at the moment and they needed the points but I'm happy the Olukoya Boys gave it their all and emerged winners at the end the day.

“On behalf of the management of the team, I will like to dedicate the victory to our special daddy and wonderful mummy.

Adeyemi added: “It's a great and rare privilege to have someone like you in this generation. You have been a great source of blessing, joy and happiness to many nations of the world and a role model to many of us. You brought happiness and meaningfulness to many lives.

"We sincerely pray that the Almighty God will continue to bless, keep, protect and prosper you in all your endeavours."
