The heat is turning on in the Nigeria Professional Football League and managerial casualties have started popping up.

Niger Tornadoes coach, Bernard Ogbe has thrown in the towel following the poor start to the season by the Minna-based club.

After not too impressive performance in the ongoing 2019 Nigeria professional football league season, Ogbe feels he has to give way for a fresh hand to take over.

Indeed, Tornadoes are going through a torrid period since the start of the season and Ogbe has been under intense pressure.

The soft-spoken gaffer confirmed his departure on Sunday after Katsina United compounded the woes of the club with a 3-1 win.

Goals from Martins Usule, Tasiu Lawal and Eric Frimpong condemned Tornadoes to another defeat.

”I have already informed the club management that whatever happen, I will tender my resignation letter” he said.

The vice chairman Comrade Bello Auta told the media department of the club “Coach Bernard Ogbe just inform us now that he has resigned his appointment as the technical adviser of the club”

“We wish him best of luck in his future endeavors”

Bernard Ogbe joined Niger Tornadoes at the beginning of the season from Mighty Jets.
