Akwa United put up a superb performance inside the Agege Stadium, but was not enough to prevent MFM FC from snatching a slim 1-0 victory on Friday.

Sikiru Olatunbosun scored the only goal that separated both sides in the 36th minute in the Nigeria Professional Football League week 8 rescheduled game, to help MFM earn all three points.

The match was rescheduled because both teams were involved in continental duties at the weekend.
