Many are often left traumatized when they have a close shave with death and even when they escape same they are sometimes never their usual selves again.

That, however, is not the case with Kayode Agboola and his Kwara United teammates who cheated death on Wednesday when they were involved in a ghastly accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on their way back to Ilorin.

Thankfully, no life was lost in the auto crash.

Speaking with Bounce Sports on Thursday evening, Agboola said that he and his teammate had shaken off Wednesday’s mishap and they were preparing for their season-opening game against Niger Tornadoes billed for Sunday.

“We thank God no life was lost in that accident, we have put the incident behind us and we are already preparing for our game on Sunday,” Agboola told Bounce Sports from Ilorin.

Agboola, who incidentally is a former player of Niger Tornadoes, said he is eagerly awaiting his ex-club in Ilorin with a promise that he would do all that he can to make sure he scores.

“It will be nice to score against my former team, I may not celebrate when I score but I will definitely be happy” the newly-signed striker declared.

Kwara United are one of the four teams newly-promoted to the Nigeria Professional Football League from the Nigeria National League, NNL.
