Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kwara United are set to name a new coach after they parted ways with their Technical Adviser, John Obuh on Monday.

Presently occupying the bottom spot on the NPFL log, Kwara United are understood to be looking at the direction of Abubakar Bala and they should confirm his appointment soon.

The Afonja Warriors on Monday in a press statement explained that they had to part ways with Coach Obuh as they were doing badly under the former Flying Eagles coach who actually got them promotion from the Nigeria National League.

On his part, Coach Obuh admitted that it was only right for him to quit his role at Kwara United since the results are just not going his way.

“I resigned because the results were not forthcoming,”

“I do not blame anyone for this.

“I want to return to my family now after which I will know what next to do as a coach.”

Obuh spent three years in his second spell with the Ilorin club.

Kwara United are rock bottom of the NPFL with 11 points from 12 matches.
