The trophy drought at Kano Pillars FC is far from over and the club is not finding that funny.

Hoping to get back on the right path to winning silverware as they used to do some years back, Pillars have announced that they have hired former Flying Eagles coach, Kabiru Baleria, as their interim head coach.

The club said that Baleria’s appointment was with immediate effect pending the appointment of a substantive technical adviser.

Kano Pillars' Media Officer,  Rilwanu Malikawa said that the appointment of Kabiru Baleria was occasioned by the expiration of the contract of the club’s erstwhile technical adviser Ibrahim Musa.

He said the management of the club under the leadership of Tukur Babangida has charged the interim head coach to work closely with other technical crew and club’s supporting staff in discharging his duties.
