Enyimba Football Club have announced that they have suspended striker Christian Obiozor indefinitely and without pay until further notice.

"The decision to suspend the player is in light of his gross indiscipline and violation of the club's code of conduct, which has seen him fail to report to the team's pre-season camp in Ado-Ekiti.

"A notice of this suspension has been submitted to the League Management Company", the Aba Elephants said.

Obiozor has over the years had burst ups with the club's management.

The striker, who was part of the Super Eagles team to the CHAN 2014 in South Africa, was close to joining Orlando Pirates recently but it was alleged that 'outrageous' demands by Enyimba scuttled the deal.

Enyimba will be representing Nigeria in the CAF Confederations Cup next season having finished third on the log.
