NOLLYWOOD: Nigerian Films Do Not Challenge Me - Kunle Afolayan
Kunle Afolayan hardly watches Nollywood movies, even though he is a filmmaker in the industry.
In a recent interview, the filmmaker and actor said Nollywood movies do not challenge and he really prefers to watch films that will help change his orientation.
Afolayan made the statement while responding to a question about badly subtitled movies shown in Nigeria.
He said, "...Truth be told, I hardly watch them because I am keen on watching movies that will challenge me and change my orientation about certain things. My children watch them a lot and that does not make them speak bad English."
The film maker, who in 2017 handed singer, Chidinma her Nollywood debut in ‘The Bridge’, would be doing the same thing for another musician this year.
Simi will star alongside other actors Femi Adebayo, Ayo Adesanya, Faithia Williams, Lateef Oladimeji, in Afolayan’s new movie titled ‘Mokalik’.
