Nigerians React To Pastor Adeboye's Genital Test Before Marriage Order
Reactions have trailed the order by the authority of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for genital test to be carried out as a prerequisite for marriage in the church.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, had directed that henceforth all prospective husbands will have to undergo penis tests.
In a memo dated 10 May 2018, and signed by Pastor J.F Adesola, Assistant General Overseer (Admin and Personnel), the cleric said the directive was to prevent “reoccurring cases of marital crises resulting from falsehood especially in the case of undeclared or non-confessed reproductive/genital status”.
According to the memo, intending husbands are to register with a “trusted government approved hospital” for the medical examination.
This, however, has generated a lot of reactions from Nigerians.

Some of you don't even trust your girlfriend with your SM password and won't give it to her if she requests it but you trust your pastor the results of your genital test?

A genital test is a medical examination of the male or female genitals undertaken to detect various ailments, or to verify a person's age or biological sex. It may be taken to rule out whether someone has undergone a sex change.— ?? DaddyMo PhD CEng ?? (@officialdaddymo) May 22, 2018
Why is it necessary but people's genital functionality isn't? The basis of most religious marriages are on conception. A test to ascertain viability isn't exactly "the road to hell paved with good intentions"— Obed Nadari (@Nadari68) May 24, 2018
