He dropped out of university because of a spinal problem that confined him to bed for over 2,920 days.
Some Good Samaritans raised 16 million Naira and now Isaac Kim has a chance to stand and walk again.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, led the fundraising initiatives for Kim, who hails from the central Plateau State.
The disabled youth- a 300 level undergraduate of University of Jos- had to abandon his studies eight years ago because of the health condition described as “spinal cord compression paraplegia secondary to spinal tumor.”
Dalung has met members of the Kim Must Walk Group who visited his office in Abuja.
“I was moved by the determination, faith, hope coupled with the zeal of Kim’s friends to succeed,” said Dalung in praise of the youth who set out to raise funds for Kim.He appealed to them to expand their campaign to help youths that are disadvantaged.
