Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu who is in charge of Nigeria Professional Football League side, MFM FC has sensationally declared that the league's top scorer, Stephen Odey is 'missing'.

Speaking with reporters after his team’s victory in the Lagos State FA Cup game at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, the coach popularly referred to as the 'Working One' said he did not know the whereabouts of the goals machine who scored 14 goals in the first stanza of the league.

“Nobody told me anything, I don’t know where he is” the coach answered when asked why Odey was not in the squad that trounced Ikorodu United.

Though it is understood that Odey may have traveled out for trials with the aim of sealing a summer deal in Europe, the MFM coach posited that such choice is ill-timed and not the best for the 19-year old.

Coach Ilechukwu stated that he was surprised that Odey would prefer going for European trials when he has a chance to train with the Super Eagles and possibly break into the team.

Bounce News gathered that Odey is presently in Denmark taking trials with FC Midtjylland.
