British-Nigerian actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has earned the lead role in a Hollywood movie.

The actor, who has impressed in his previous roles in The Mummy Returns, Bourne Identity, Thor: The Dark World, Suicide Squad and TV shows - Lost and Game Of Thrones, will star as the primary subject in a new Hollywood film titled ‘Wetlands’.

The closest he has gotten to a lead is in his voice performance in 2016's Bilal.

Directed by first-time filmmaker Emanuele Della Valle, the film explores the murky world of crime beneath the surface of a beach town, where Adewale plays Babel "Babs".

It's set to premiere in the US on September 15.
