President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, have returned to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja after they participated in the elections of Saturday, February

He was in his home town Daura in Katsina State for the presidential and National Assembly elections. 

The President and his wife arrived in Abuja in the afternoon on Monday.

He is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the General election and he is seeking a second term in Office.

Buhari returns to Abuja after election

It is the second time that he will be visiting his state in the past two weeks.

He had travelled to Daura before the election earlier scheduled to hold on February 16 was postponed.

While addressing reporters before his departure from Daura, he expressed optimism that he would come out victorious in the election. 

Collation of results is underway in Abuja.
