There was violence at the Akarabata ward 1 Units 1-12 which is situated in Oranmiyan tower complex in Lagere, Ile-Ife, Osun state during the federal elections on Saturday.

Political thugs did not invade the polling centre to cause chaos, it was voters who turned against themselves.

Tempers flared and one of them stabbed the other in the face with a bottle, leaving her badly injured.

The culprit, whose name could not be verified has been arrested by the police while the victim has been rushed to the hospital.

AIG Adeleye Oyebade who is in charge of Zone 11 in Osun, confirmed the incident and gave the assurance that the police were in charge and there was nothing to worry about.
