The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the National Broadcasting Commission(NBC) has warned the public to stop sharing fake results online.

While INEC asked the public to disregard any result they see on social media platforms, NBC told broadcast houses to only share results that are announced by the authorized electoral officer.

“Kindly disregard any "RESULT" you see on Social Media platforms. INEC is the only constitutional body empowered to declare the outcome of the #NigeriaDecides2019 election results. Please be guided!” INEC said.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC postponed the official announcement of collation of presidential results till Monday, February 25, 2019.

INEC Chairman, Yakubu Mahmood announced this during a press briefing at the ICC, Abuja.

According to him, “The INEC National Collation Center has adjourned results proceedings to resume 11 am on Monday.

“Collation of results has been postponed till tomorrow 25th February. To open by 11:00AM at the international conference center.”
