National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu says he will accept the outcome of the election, even if his party lost the presidential seat.

Tinubu voted just before 12 noon at Poling Unit 047, Junction of Kaffi, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos.

“At this poling unit and the other ones I have passed through, I think they are doing well.” He said after casting his vote.

He hailed INEC for a smooth process so far.

“The great expectation was last week, they were very excited and there was postponement, that could be frustration or disappointment, but we could see that was not deliberate, we could see that INEC as the umpire gave us press report all through the week, that is beijg honest and we must salute them.

When asked what his reaction would be if the electorates vote out his party at the central, Tinubu said he will respect the people’s choice.

“I will accept it, that is the people’s verdict. Any democrat that cannot accept the result of a free and fair election is not worthy of the name of being a democrat. You must be able to accept the result of a free and fair election.”

He is however hopeful that his party, APC will win the presidential election.
