Presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigerian (ANN) has lost his presidential bid in his home state, Ekiti.

The Okemesi, Ekiti native polled a mere 88 votes as announced by the returning officer for Ekiti state during the ongoing election results announcement happening in Abuja.

Earlier on Saturday, February 23rd, Durotoye had expressed confidence in winning the 2019 elections.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) won Ekiti state with a total of 219,231 votes while the People's Democratic Party (PDP) polled a total of 154,032 votes.
