Some changes are expected in the Super Eagles’ starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against Serbia.

With the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Shehu Abdullahi already confirmed injured, the complexion of the Nigeria team that would face Serbia will certainly not be the same like the one that faced Poland in Wroclaw last Friday.

From Coach Gernot Rohr’s body language, Francis Uzoho would likely start in goal for Nigeria ahead of the only other goalkeeper available, Ikechukwu Ezenwa.

With Abdullahi injured, Tyronne Ebuehi should start in the right side of defense, it is yet to be seen if Rohr will stick with Brian Idowu on the left or will give a chance to either Ola Aina or Elderson Echiejile to prove their mettle.

For the central defensive role, gists from camp indicate that Leon Balogun will require a late fitness test to keep his starting shirt, Kenneth Omeruo is on the wings if Balogun is found wanting to partner William Troost-Ekong in the heart of the defence.

The experience of Ogenyi Onazi may be required from the start in the Serbia game and upfront Ahmed Musa should be taking the place of injured Iheanacho.

Super Eagles' Possible Starting XI: Francis Uzoho. Tyronne Ebuehi, Troost Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Ola Aina; Ogenyi Onazi(C), Wilfred Ndidi, Joel Obi; Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa, Victor Moses.
