Hopes of having conclusive polls into the boards of the remaining five affected sports federations in the country have been dashed.

The Federal Ministry of Sports on Thursday in Abuja, said it has postponed indefinitely the re-run elections.

The Ministry’s Director of Press, Tolu Makinde, who made the announcement at the National Stadium Abuja said the postponement was due to "circumstances beyond their control".

It was however gathered that a purported court injunction hampered Thursday's polling process.

The affected federations are Athletics, Judo, Gymnastics, Weightlifting and Taekwando.

Apart from the Rugby federation, the initial elections into the affected federations were conducted on June 13 but series of protests and allegations of bias forced the initial cancellation.
