Nigeria Is Near Average Power Supply, Bounce News Poll Shows
On New Year’s Day Nigerians were addressed by President Muhammadu Buhari in a national broadcast and he said Nigerians were experiencing improved power supply to their homes and businesses.
Some Nigerians disputed that statement and this dispute threw up the need for a poll among Nigerians to know the true state of power supply to their homes.
Bounce News conducted a poll and the result showed Nigeria is truly near average power supply.
A total of 480 persons participated in the poll.
Although in the poll which sought to know whether power supply to homes was excellent, average or poor, had more persons saying the supply was poor, the number of participants that said the supply was average followed closely.
It was a good sign indeed, as seen in the breakdown which showed that 38% of the participants said the supply was still poor.
That position was closely followed by participants that said the supply was average at 35%.
Only 22% of the participants said the supply was excellent.
Another 5%, however, said they needed more time to be sure of the situation of things.
A few comments to the Twitter poll also showed mixed reactions, with some highlighting that the area one lives also contributes to whether or not they will get supply.

Nigeria's development has been hinged on power supply, as poor power supply has sent some companies out of the nation to some other African countries where power supply is stable.
The government will have to uphold its monitoring while it pushes investors to invest more funds in the sector to ensure that the current improvement is maintained.
This will ensure that the 3% difference in the rating is swallowed up.
