Hauwa Manga was traveling back from Sabuwar Gwaram to Gombe on 22nd January 2017.

She was traveling with her two children when their bus was involved in accident.

All the passengers were burnt to death except Hauwa and her children who miraculously escaped.

The children were thrown out of the burning bus while their mother sustained various degrees of injuries.

Hauwa was stuck in the burning bus but was later rescued. She sustained fractures on her hip, leg and hand.

She was rushed to a hospital in Sabuwar Gwaram for treatment.

Faty Manga, Hauwa’s mother told Bounce News that they tried to get treatment in Gombe hospital but could not afford the N3m bill demanded by the hospital.

The family instead subscribed to traditional medicine.

"Doctors said she needs not less than three different surgery if she is lucky she will get back to her feet," Faty said.

The chances of Hauwa, who has been bed ridden for 18 months brightened up after Non-Governmental Organisation, Hope Spring International an NGO came to her rescue.

The organisation offset over 70 percent of the bill needed for the surgeries, promising to pay the balance as doctors make progress with the treatment.

Hauwa has undergone her first surgery successful and being prepared for two more surgeries in Flossy Consultant clinic in Gombe metropolis according her mother.
