The forthcoming governorship elections in Anambra is getting hotter and hotter every passing day.

The stakeholders are pulling out every trick in the book to ensure their candidates carry the day.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has also joined the fray.

Ngige said that a former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi came into politics without a vision.

He spoke in Awka, Anambra State capital, during a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress in preparation for its governorship campaign.

Ngige added that Obi left as governor of the state after eight years without positively impacting on the lives of the people.

He was apparently reacting to Obi’s claim that he fulfilled his campaign promises to the people during his reign as a governor.

Ngige, who is the chairman of the Tony Nwoye Campaign Organisation said the 16-year rule of the Peoples Democratic Party in the country was a waste.

He said the PDP failed to redeem its electoral promises to the people, saying that the APC was ready to deliver the country from the woods.
