The Nigeria Football Federation are planning to spend big in the year 2018.

At their Annual General Assembly taking place in Jos, Plateau State, the NFF announced that their total budgets for year 2018 activities is totaled at N6,382,500,310.00.

Part of the communique of the 2017 annual general assembly of the NFF held in Jos, Plateau state on Thursday read:  

“The General Assembly approved the NFF Financial Statement for the year 2016 and the 2018 Budget as proposed.

“The Federation’s total budget for year 2018 activities is the sum of N6,382,500,310.00.

“The guaranteed revenues from sponsors and government subvention is the sum of N3,062,500,310.00, leaving a shortfall of the sum of N3,320,000,000.00, which the Federation has to work to augment through sponsorships and special interventions.”

The searchlights will definitely be on the NFF going forward as it is already on record that the Federation will be getting a minimum of $12m from FIFA as participation fee in the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Other subventions are also expected from the world football governing body.
