The crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation for inexplicable reasons have defiled all proposed solutions.

The time is tickling fast away as FIFA has given the country until Monday, August 20, 2018 to handover the administration and offices of the Football Federation to Amaju Pinnick and his Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi or get banned.

With the logjam Nigeria now finds itself, MFM FC Technical Adviser Fidelis Ikechukwu says he has embarked on fasting and prayers to seek divine intervention so the country does not get axed by FIFA .

Speaking at the Supersport NaijaMADE Show on Saturday morning where he was asked if he feels about the current standstill in the Nigeria football league.

The Nigeria U-23 Assistant Coach said, “We are the ones suffering as a result of the power tussle at the NFF Glass House, so I am praying and fasting that it is resolved soon so we can get back to playing.”

It is yet to be seen if prayers and fasting will help the course of Nigeria having failed to do the clear thing requested by the world football governing body.

Nigeria has been hit with suspensions by FIFA in times past including in December 1989 when FIFA banned the country for two years from age graded competitions.

FIFA also pronounced a provisional suspension on Nigeria in June 1992 for government interference in the composition of NFA (now NFF)

The FIFA hammer also fell on Nigeria in October 2010 on an account of government interference in the NFF.
