Some Nigerians are displeased at the exclusion of Rashidi Yekini from the all-time Nigerian XI announced at The NFF awards ceremony in Lagos on Monday.

The XI, which is a match up between male and female ex-internationals, didn’t have Super Eagles’ all time leading goal scorer for reasons best known to the organisers.

Rashidi Yekini gained global recognition for his celebration of Nigeria's first goal at the 1994 World Cup against Bulgaria.

He ran into the net and kept screaming his name while being overwhelmed with joy.

For the records, Yekini is still the highest goal scorer in the Super Eagles with 37 goals in 58 matches over 14 years.
