FIFA on Friday announced Neymar alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo among the final three shortlist for the Best FIFA Men's Player Award.

Ronaldo led Real Madrid to the La Liga title and a third Champions League success in four years last season.

The 32-year-old also won the award last year after winning the UCL, and helping Portugal claim the European Championship.

Neymar completed a world record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain after winning the Copa del Rey with Barcelona last season.

For Messi, a record five-time winner of the Ballon d'Or, he scored 54 goals last season as Barcelona won the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.

The winner of the 2017 award will be announced during a ceremony at the London Palladium on October 23.
