New Reality Show Promotes Nigerians Love For Eating
Nigerians love to eat.
We cannot see a party or gathering where there is food and turn away.
In the wake of this, a popular British reality show 'Come Dine With Me' will get 'Nigerianised'.
Re-named 'Chop Chop With Me Naija', it is a cooking reality show where five strangers take turns hosting what they consider to be the ultimate dinner party.
The guests score each other, and at the end of the competition, the host with the highest score wins a cash prize.
The winning host will walk away with 250,000 Naira and the most entertaining host voted in the people's choice gets 100,000 Naira.
When Bounce News spoke to a representative of the organizers, Chioma Nwosu who said:
" It is same thing as the British version, the only twist is the viewers choice, where viewers get to choose the person they consider to be the most entertaining host"
"We are working towards creating the total package, we will announce auditions, we are still working out somethings, because we aim to make it a proper reality show.
"The first step is to fill out the forms and send a picture of yourself, your kitchen and dining area" she added.
She also revealed to Bounce News that auditions have begun for contestants.
Hopefully, unlike great shows like Celebrity take 2 and Glo Naija Sings that had very short life spans, this will last a little longer.
Come Chop Will Me Naija, will give Nigerians entertainment value that goes beyond the belly.
Lets keep our fingers crossed.
