It is not yet 2019 and these are neither state nor federal elections but they have the capacity to disrupt law and order.

Some participants believe the polls were scripted and more people free and fair were also absent at the venue.

Sources in the Federal Capital Territory have told Bounce Sports that there have been pockets of violence as some aggrieved candidates have been denied the rights to contest.

A source in Abuja said: "National Sports Federation holding in Abuja has been hijacked by Director of Federation of Elite Athletes Department {FEAD}, Mrs Hauwa Kulu Akinyemi."

He continued: "Names of institutional representatives already elected have been substituted overnight.

"Candidates disqualified on the morning of elections while forgets of violence and fights have been recorded in different federations.

"Electoral Guidelines which empowered President and Vice Presidents to vie as independent was revoked on the floor of the election.

"The Minister of Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung is nowhere to be found.

"The whole system is flawed!!!!" the source who monitored the polls concluded.

Before now, there were reports that some of the top names contesting for positions in Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN), were unjustly disqualified.

Some of those who already won elections through their various bodies were replaced with people who never contested.

Rosa Collins was voted as the representative of NAWIS, the women’s body, but was said to have been replaced by Gloria Obajinmi.

Former Technical Director of the board, Navy Commodore Omatseye Nesiama, was disqualified due to poor documentation.

Other notable names disqualified are Kayode Thomas for lack of constituency, Titus Ayodele (no tax clearance), Henry Amike (no ID/constituency), Enefiok Udo-Obong (no age declaration/identity), etc.
