"...to see the manifestations of that government within a government.

"It beats one’s imagination how the head of an agency could have authorized the brazen assault on the legislature that we saw yesterday."

This is according to Nigeria's Senate President, Bukola Saraki. He said this on Wednesday during a press briefing held within the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.

Dr. Saraki, who recently returned to the PDP from the APC accused some persons in offices of authority of running a government within the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Saraki also accused the perpetrators of what has been tagged a failed legislative coup of attempting to illegally change the leadership of Nigerian parliament.

"...for their selfish ends have only affirmed my belief in this country.

"They attempted to execute an illegal impeachment of the leadership of the Senate without the backing of the law, but they faltered".

The Senate President thanked the media and Nigerians for their support during Tuesday's Blockade of the National Assembly.
