The names of the two ministerial nominees sent by President Muhammadu Buhari to the Senate has emerged.

As earlier reported by Bounce News on Wednesday, the nominees are to replace James Ocholi from Kogi State, who died in a car crash in 2016, and Amina Mohammed, from Gombe State, who is now the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations.

Those appointed are Suleiman Hassan from Gombe State and Prof. Steven Ocheni to represent Kogi State.

Ocheni, an academician with Kogi State University, Anyigba is said to have worked closely with late Prince Abubakar Audu when he contested for Kogi state gubernatorial elections on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) before his tragic death, thus suggesting that Audu’s political camp is being taken into consideration.

Hassan was a former Chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Gombe State.

Buhari's letter was read on the floor of the house by Senate President Bukola Saraki.
