The headquarters of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Abuja almost burnt down on Friday.

It was an early morning fire that caught everyone unawares.

Although they were late, it was all thanks to fire service officials who arrived at the scene to control the situation.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed on Friday that the fire had been extinguished.

The fire, believed to have been sparked by electrical fault started at about 6:20 a.m.
