After searching for him for three days, the lifeless body of a final year student of the department of Sociology at the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) was found on his bed.

The death of Nkwede Paul was the second in three months in the state.

A lady had earlier died from the same department in her sleep, and her body later discovered on her bed.

Bounce News gathered that the deceased popularly known as Saint Paul was found dead three days after by his hostel mates in God’s Only Lodge at Ishielu campus.

The late Nkwede Paul was an indigene of Amegu in Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State. He was said to have returned from a trip, locked himself inside his room, put off his boxers and slept off.

When his friends did not see him after three days, a search party was set up to look for him. But all efforts were said to be abortive, until they broke into his room and saw him lying lifeless on his bed.

When contacted, Ebonyi State Command Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Loveth Odah confirmed the death.

She stated that the police had gone to the scene and evacuated the corpse to the mortuary.

According to her, there was no evidence of violence on the corpse. She added that investigation was ongoing and that an autopsy would be conducted on the corpse.
