Following the clash between rival gangs in Idi-Oro, Mushin which left 2 people dead, 10 people have been arrested including a woman.

The arrest was made by the Lagos Police Command and members of the Lagos State Task Force.

The command Spokesman, Olarinde Famous-Cole,  has confirmed the arrest of the suspects.

He, however, said eight persons were arrested.

He said the suspects, who were arrested had machetes and axes in their possession.

There was mayhem in Mushin earlier in the day as rival gangs in the area unleashed violence on the neighbourhood leaving two dead, and property worth millions of Naira destroyed.

Bounce News gathered that the deceased were leaders in rival gangs, all of whom are members of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

It was also gathered that cars parked on adjacent streets to Idi Oro were destroyed, while the home of the fathers of one of the feuding leaders was razed.

All the banks in the area closed early while business activities remained skeletal.

Bounce News learned that trouble had been brewing in the neighbourhood for a while but things started to heat up Saturday morning, and continued all weekend before escalating Monday morning

Though normalcy appears to have been restored to the area, tension remains high as many fear that there could be a reprisal attack.
