Uche was coming out of a shopping complex closed to the Akowonjo roundabout heading to Alimosho Local Government Secretariat.

He was about navigating the roundabout when some members of the Local Government Task Force jumped in front of his car and stopped him.

Uche was thrown into a state of confusion and shock as he did not understand what was going on.

The officials, who were on mufti asked him to come down and accused him of driving through ‘one way’, a claim that did not go down well with Uche.

As he alighted, one of the officials jumped into the car and drove it off to the secretariat where he was asked to pay a N50,000 fine or his car would be impounded.

They said that the officials are constituting nuisance on the road and need to be called to order.

A motorist Shola, who shared a similar experience, said the officials have no business on the road since law enforcement agents such as the police and LASTMA are already at the same spot.

Another motorist, David asked the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode-led state government to investigate the matter urgently.
