Morocco Thrash Nigeria To Win First CHAN Title
The home-based Super Eagles failed woefully in Sunday's CHAN 2018 final as they were thrashed 4-0 by the Atlas Lions of Morocco who deservedly emerged as continent's new champions in this tournamnet.
There was no hiding place for the home-based Super Eagles at the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca on Sunday as the Moroccans simply overpowered them in every department of the game.
Zakaria Hadraf scored two goals while Walid El Karti and El Kaadi scored a goal each to give Morocco their first CHAN title ever.
Before Sunday's feat, last time the North Africans won an African title was as far back as 1976 while for Nigeria, the AFCON title won by the late Stephen Keshi is the last silverware for the country.
