More jobs may be coming to Delta indigenes in the next few months, as the government approves the revamp of some ailing industries in the state.

But this hope that is rising depends on the willpower of the government to pursue its dream.

Very few Nigerians are aware that there were glass and steel companies in Delta State, but the government wants to revamp two companies in the manufacturing sector.

The State Commissioner for Information, Patrick Ukah, announced the plan while briefing reporters on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting in Asaba, the state’s capital.

Ukah said the state government gave approval to revamp the Bendel Steel, Bendel Glass industries, among others, through a public private partnership (PPP) arrangement.
