The government warned against Jungle Justice but it seems some residents of Lagos and Ogun states are reluctant to allow justice take its course.

A suspected member of the Badoo Cult, terrorising residents of Ikorodu was set ablaze by an angry mob at Magbo, in Ogijo area of Ogun State, on Wednesday.

Ogijo community shares a common boundary with Ikorodu in Lagos.

The suspect was alleged to have been in possession of a severed head of a baby. He lynched and later set ablaze.

The mob, on sighting the convoy of  the State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, who was on official visit to the area fled the scene for fear of being arrested.

The CP later ordered his men to evacuate the remains.

The cult gang has been attacking and killing residents of communities in Ikorodu since 2016 with many of the gruesome attacks linked to ritual killings.

At least 4 suspected members of the gang have been killed by mobs since residents decided 'enough is enough'.
