Mixed Reactions Trail Death Of Ex-Ondo Deputy Gov.'s Daughter
The death of Adenike Khadijat Oluboyo, daughter of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo has created a ripple with conflicting reactions across the state.
Her death, according to some of her colleagues at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko was a self-inflicted woe that would impact some lessons to female students of her type.
The deceased, who was a final year student of the state-owned university, was allegedly found dead in the house of her boyfriend, Adeyemi Alao in Akure.
One of the students who simply introduced herself to Bounce News as Bimbo said Adenike had never been a good representative of the former second family of the state.
"She travelled every weekend. If she was in Lagos this week, next weekend, she would be in Abuja, the next one, she would be in Port Harcourt. That was the kind of life she lived.
"Although, her death was painful, but I feel it would serve a good lesson to some of our ladies on campus whose ways of life are questionable. May her soul rest in peace."
Another student who confirmed her demise described her as a ''wild lady''.
"She had access to everything that could make life worthy of living but she grew too wild. If she had been tamed before now, her life wouldn't have ended this way. She told her hostel mates that she was travelling to Abuja only for us to hear she is dead in Akure. If her corpse was not found, the searchlight would have beamed to Abuja where she told everybody she was traveling to."
It was gathered that the deceased was allegedly used for money ritual by her so-called boyfriend who is said to be at large till now.
Mr Femi Joseph, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ondo command described the incident as unfortunate.
He however said the police has commenced investigation to unravel the mystery behind her death.
