It is only typical for Nigerians to make plans towards the upcoming 2019 elections.

The plans could include; planing to vote on the day of the election, supporting a political party or candidate, or in the case of Chocolate City music, trying to 'control the economy'.

Led by rapper, M.I Abaga and DJ Lambo, the music label alongside artistes: Ckay, Yung L, Ruby and Dice Ailes plan to take their show on the road before the elections.

In 2017, Chocolate City started a clothing line, called 'Control The Economy' to inspire Nigerians to take ownership despite the recession and literally “control their own individual economies”.

The initiative supports innovation and entrepreneurship in order to become self-reliant.

Now that the recession is believed to be over and the 2019 elections close, Chocolate City, will still be preaching 'self reliance'.
