Nigeria Professional Football League club MFM FC have crashed out of the 2017 Federation Cup after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Nasarawa United.

Now known as Aiteo Cup, the competition is the oldest in Nigeria.

After a barren first half at the Lafia City Stadium, Nasarawa United went ahead in the 55th minute through Anyu Ishaya’s fine finish.

The host doubled their lead 14 minutes from time when Tayo Fabiyi made no mistake off an Ishaya’s assist.

MFM’s attempt for a comeback met brick walls and their hope was completely dashed at added time as Nasarawa United extended their tally to three with B. Jafar getting on the score sheet.

The Lafia club have now qualified for the Round of 32 of the 2017 Aiteo Cup.
