Lionel Messi inspired Barcelona to yet another win in the La Liga on Sunday as he scored two goals in the 3-0 win over Las Palmas.

After Sergio Busquets got the curtain raiser, Messi scored in the 70th and 77th minute to take his goal tally in the league this season to 11.

For Barcelona, their perfect start to the season continues as they have now won all seven games played in the La Liga this season.

The Catalan giants have scored a massive 23 goals; conceding just twice so far.

It is worthy to note that Sunday’s game between Barcelona and Las Palmas was played in an empty stadium.

This was to allow fans to go and exercise their civic duties of participating the referendum meant to test public opinion on the agitation for an independent Catalonia region.
