Mercy Johnson-Okojie is giving back to the Youths in Kogi state.

The Nollywood actress and Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State governor (SSA) on entertainment, arts and culture, Mercy Johnson-Okojie is organizing a talent hunt show.

Tagged ‘GYB Talent Hunt’ it is aimed at discovering talented actors and helping them break into Nollywood.

Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola and director, Frank Rajah would join Mercy Johnson-Okojie as judges.

The winner will receive N250,000 and a lead role in the upcoming folklore movie titled 'Inikpi'.

The first runner-up will take home N150,000 and a key feature in Inikpi, while the second runner-up will receive N100,000 and a feature in a Nollywood film.

Speaking on why she embarked on a talent hunt, Mercy Johnson-Okojie said:

“This is my way of giving back to the state that made me who I am. I have been incredibly blessed to have played my little part in the revolution that is Nollywood, it is now time that my brothers and sisters in Kogi state get the same opportunity.”

The search will begin on August 17, 2017 at the Civic Center in Okehi and continue on August 18 at the Idah Local Government hall, Idah.

On August 19, it would be done at the Theatre Arts Hall, Kogi State University, Ayingba. The last day of the search which is on the 21st of August is at Riverton hotel.
