The state government through the Directorate of Public Prosecutions sent a letter, dated May 22, to the Nigerian Police demanding a duplicate of the case file on alleged assault on the Nollywood actress.
The Coordinator of the State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, Titilola Vivour- Adeniyi, during her sensitization program argued that Domestic Violence is a crime committed against the State.
Mercy Aigbe is presently in the United Kingdom to see a surgeon over injuries she allegedly suffered from her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry.
